Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to Shelf's apps, websites, and any content or services provided by Shelf Labs (“Shelf,” “we,” or “us”). By creating an account or using Shelf you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Using Shelf
You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Shelf. You agree to use the service only for personal, lawful purposes and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Your account
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and any activity under your account.
- You will provide accurate and current information when creating your account and promptly update it if it changes.
- Notify us immediately at hello@shelf.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account or a security breach.
Subscriptions & billing
- Some features may require a paid subscription. We will clearly describe pricing, billing cycles, and renewal terms before you confirm payment.
- Payments are processed by our third-party providers and are subject to their terms. Taxes may apply depending on your location.
- You can cancel a subscription at any time through the platform where you purchased it. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund past payments unless required by law.
Your content
You retain ownership of the links, notes, audio, and other content you save to Shelf. By uploading or sharing content, you grant Shelf a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service.

- Do not attempt to interfere with Shelf's security, infrastructure, or availability.
- Do not harvest data from Shelf or use automated systems to access the service without permission.
- Respect other users' privacy and only share content when you have permission to do so.
Intellectual property
Shelf and its logos, trademarks, and software are owned by Shelf Labs or our licensors. Except for the limited rights granted in these Terms, we reserve all rights to the service and its content.
Feedback
If you share product suggestions or improvements with us, you agree that Shelf may use that feedback without obligation or compensation.
Third-party services
Shelf may integrate with third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. Shelf is not responsible for third-party content, products, or actions.
Termination
You may stop using Shelf at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or our policies, or if continued access poses risk to Shelf or other users. Upon termination, your right to use Shelf ends, but certain provisions of these Terms will continue, including those related to intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability.
Disclaimers
Shelf is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Shelf will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Shelf and its suppliers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Shelf, its affiliates, and employees harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
